The most fun you'll ever have being scared!
Two macabre masters - writer Stephen King and director George A. Romero - conjure up five shocking yarns, each a virtuoso exercise in the ghouls-and-gags style of classic '50s horror comics. A murdered man emerges from the grave for Father's Day cake. A meteor's ooze makes everything... grow. A professor selects his wife as a snack for a crated creature. A scheming husband plants two lovers up to their necks in terror. A malevolent millionaire with an insect phobia becomes the prey of a cockroach army. Add the spirited performances of a fine cast (Hal Holbrook, Adrienne Barbeau, Leslie Nielsen, Ted Danson, E.G. Marshall and King himself) and the ghoulish makeup wizardry of Tom Savini. Let the Creepshow begin!

I just bought Creepshow here for £4.99 and it was worth every penny!
The film is excellent and is still as good 25 years on.
I first saw the film when I was about ten and it gave me nightmares.
I have had a fear/phobia of cockroaches all these years due to the last section of the film.
I watched again for the first time last night ...I suppose at 35 it was time to face my fears.
I sat there cringing even now as an adult.
I have actually met George Romero and told him of my cockroach phobia and he looked delighted.
I cant rate this film enough and if your seeing it for the first time on this remastered DVD then you will be in for a treat.
BUT IT NOW !
The first time I saw it I couldn't sleep for a week...
I love everything about it the comic style sequences, the horror elements the jokes mainly from Stephen King as Jordy I laugh to death every time I watch it. Tom Atkins and the father who doesn't want his son to read comics is such a brilliant opening scene and George Romero did amazing job directing it and Tom Savini's special effects are fantastic his best is Fluffy from 'The Crate'. I'm so glad that's it's released on 2-disc cause of the features. 10/10
A classic film made up of short stories by the king of creepy, Stephen King, the story of the man getting contaminated by the meteor and weeds growing everywhere is played by Stephen king himself.
If you haven't seen this , its definitely worth a watch. If you have seen then it looks a bit dated now.
I bought this without having seen it before. A couple of the stories are really enjoyable....2 are average...and 1 - The Crate - seems to drag and drag and drag.
I did like the concept behind this movie but the on the whole, the stories just aren't that great....and unless you have a specific fear of cockroaches, drowning or being covered in grass then it won't scare you. Having said that, some of the scenes with cockroaches are good enough to make your skin crawl even if you're not that bothered by them!
